[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_empty_space height=”32px” background_image=”” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_column_text]I was privileged back in 2005 to be invited, by the then Thai Print Association President Kriengkrai to travel to the Kingdom of Thailand to assist in establishing the Thai National Print Awards.<\/p>\n

The foresight and leadership of Kriengkrai to start these awards was continued by subsequent President Pornchai & current Madame President Pimnara, they & their committees have achieved outstanding success, from humble begins to now the leading National Print Awards in the Asian Region.<\/p>\n

It has been my pleasure to Independently Chair the Judging Panel for 10 years & work closely with four Awards Chairmen, the inaugural Chairman Gong followed by Wittaya then Pasakorn to current Chairman Viroon, they & their awards committees must be commended for the excellent management of these Awards.<\/p>\n

My sincere thanks to all the people who participated on Judging panels over these years with special mention for Print professionals Robert James (9 years) & Rodney Urquhart (5 years) who gave their time, support & encouragement as independent team leaders including training local team members & to Mayuree for 9 years & Chairat 5 years of dedicated service as a Judges.<\/p>\n

The Anniversary judging panel consisted of a representative from each of the past 9 years and the consensus was that this year`s overall print quality was excellent.<\/p>\n

The Judges noted several Categories for special mention.<\/p>\n

5: Sheetfed Magazines & Journals: Highly competitive due to the number of entries & excellent quality.<\/p>\n

7: Limited Edition Books & Art reproductions: The best submissions in the past 10 years. 15: Digital Catalogues, Booklets & Brochures: Many fine print samples.<\/p>\n

Overall Digital Print showed increased improvement but more attention to Post Press is critical.<\/p>\n

22: Gravure Flexible Packaging: World class print quality but unfortunately some companies did not comply fully with the terms of entry & therefore could not be considered in the competition.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to all medal winners & thanks to the entrant companies for competing.<\/p>\n

After ten wonderful years the time has come for me to step aside & pass the baton to the incoming Independent Judging Chairman, Mr Robert James.<\/p>\n
